Adopt an empowered state of mind.

“The difference between peak performance and poor performance is not intelligence or ability; most often it’s the state that your mind and body is in.”

Tony Robbins

This is 1 out of 366 pages from my upcoming book Troubleshooting Life: 366 daily one-minute ideas to make this year your best ever.

Tony Robbins has joked about how smoking a joint is a way to “change your state,” like exercise or alcohol or chocolate.

All of these things can affect your emotions as a human being. It is easy to think emotions are beyond our control, but they aren’t!

On his website, he writes how you can always retrain your mind to look for good things in life, as opposed to looking for bad things and triggering “fight or flight” response.

Accept every moment as it comes, and avoid setting expectations that are unmeetable, otherwise you will just be upset and taking it out on others.

Instead, it is better to smile and empower yourself to set a positive tone for the day.

THE TAKEAWAY: Adopt an empowered state of mind.
